Some people have asked why I titled this image Amber's Sunset so here is the story behind this image.

This particular image holds a lot of meaning to me, I took this on the afternoon of my beautiful nieces funeral. Amber was such a lovely girl, full of life and looking forward to great future with her husband and two little boys. She passed away suddenly whilst sitting on her lounge getting ready to watch her one soapy that she liked. She had just turned 29 two weeks prior and was 7 months pregnant with their third little boy.

After her funeral I had to get away and find some solitude to come to grips with all that had occured, I grabbed my gear and headed off to the waterfront for the sunset and this was the scene that presented itself to me that fateful day.

Ambers two boys have now accepted that they will not be seeing their mommy again, they now point to the brightest star in the evening and say its their mommy with their little brother up there. I forgot to mention that Reece, the eldest boy, is autistic so it was very difficult for him to understand his mommy was suddenly not there anymore.

Ambers parents, my sister & brother-in-law, look after the two boys for two weeks at a time as their Dad has to go away to work in the mines and is away for two weeks at a time so that he can earn the money to buy a house for his sons to grow up in.

Well that is the story that goes with this image and why I titled it Ambers Sunset.
